Paddling for Woodwynn – Yukon River Quest

THE EVENT: The Yukon River Quest (www.yukonriverquest.com) has been touted as the longest annual canoe and kayak marathon, and one of the toughest.

Janice Mason and her nephew, Robin have decided to take on the challenge of the river and will be on the start line at noon on June 30, 2010 along with 79 other teams.

The race covers 746 km of the Yukon River, from Whitehorse to Dawson City.
Janice and Robin’s goal is to reach the city of Klondike Gold Rush fame within 60 hours of leaving Whitehorse.

WHY: The Yukon River Quest is a race and not a fundraising event, but Janice decided to use her participation as an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for Woodwynn.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: Please help Janice surpass her goal of raising $10 per kilometer, or $7460 for the farm, by donating either an amount for the total race or per km:
i.e. 1 cent per km = $7.46; 10 cent per km = $74.60

As Woodwynn is a charitable organization tax receipts are available for donations of $20 or more.
